Audi New Energy invested about 18.4 billion yuan to build the first luxury pure electric model factory in China

Audi China revealed on its official
platform today that Audi FAW New Energy Vehicle Co., Ltd. will hold a
groundbreaking ceremony in Changchun at the end of June, becoming a key
milestone in Audi\’s electrification strategy in China.

According to reports, Audi
invested about 2.6 billion euros (about 18.382 billion yuan) in the project,
including the establishment of a new company and a new production base.

Audi FAW New Energy Vehicle Co.,
Ltd. is also Audi\’s first majority-owned joint venture in China. The new
production base is planned to have an annual production capacity of 150,000
vehicles and plans to start production of electric vehicles based on the PPE
(Premium Platform Electric) platform specially designed for the Chinese market
by the end of 2024.

According to the plan, the new plant
will have an annual production capacity of 150,000 vehicles. The PPE platform
electric vehicle will be put into production in 2024. The three models of the
Audi A6 e-Tron and Audi Q6 e-Tron series will be put into production first.

model and the debut of the first car were held in the final assembly workshop
of the FAW-Volkswagen Foshan Branch.

The Audi Q4 e-Tron first-class
model was officially launched on May 20, with a guide price of 337,000-382,500
yuan, and four models were opened for pre-sale, with a pre-sale range of
300,000-380,000 yuan.

The Audi Q4 e-Tron 50 e-Tron
Quattro version is equipped with four-wheel drive, the maximum power is 80kW /
150kW, and the zero-to-hundred acceleration is 6.8s. The 40 e-Tron version
has a rear-wheel-drive single motor with a maximum power of 150kW.

The battery capacity is 84.1kWh
long (available SOC 94%, available power 79.7kWh), with a heat pump air
conditioner, three-speed adjustable energy recovery, automatic intelligent
coasting energy recovery mode, 0.28 low wind resistance coefficient, CLTC
working condition 605km.
