Ola Electric is an electric two-wheeler manufacturer based in Bangalore, India. One of the top electric two-wheeler companies in India, the company launched two electric scooters Ola S1 and S1 Pro in the Indian market on 15th August 2021.

Recently the company has revealed that it is going to launch an electric car for the Indian market soon, more details will be revealed on 15 August 2022.

Now, company CEO Bhavish Aggarwal took to Twitter and said, “Our first indigenously manufactured Li-ion cell! The cell is the heart of the EV revolution. We need to build our own technology to expand and innovate rapidly. A lot in the pipeline on our cell technology roadmap!

The Bangalore-based electric two-wheeler company has now forayed into lithium-ion cell manufacturing, CEO Informed. Batteries are the heart of electric vehicles, and thus Li-cell manufactured in India will boost electric vehicle production as well as help drive down electric vehicle prices.
